YPL: Perpetually Young Lioncubs

"Pee on my carpet and you'll be a coat..."

Lions as pets? Well we can't all be lucky enuf to live in dingo territory ya know.

YPL has finally done it. After years of striving to make the lives of all Americans more complete, YPL is proud to announce that we have succeed in "pausing" the aging process in certain animals: Lion Cubs to be exact. Recently scientists from around the world gathered to witness what millions said could never be done.

The process is simple: immediately after birth these beautiful lion cubs are put on ice, after which they are shipped overseas to a remote island not charted on most maps. Once there cubs too wimpy to survive the trip are weeded out; currently less than 30% arrive DOA, and our success rate improves slightly with every shipment. The surviving cubs are taken to a large warehouse originally used to store American designer jeans. "We were lucky to find such a safe place to perform our clandestine experiments and produce the serum that keeps these majestic cats perpetually adorable.", said Dr. Jack Scalia. In a dank room, where filthy windows admit scant light, the cubs receive injections of the PYLC Solution. Protocol requires that these injections be given in the side of the animal's neck with a fairly large needle. The first injection always induces an epileptic seizure, but this is a necessary part of the treatment. If it survives this initial fit the cat is ready for packaging and can be sent back to America. Each cat arrives with 3 sample PYLC Solutions which can be injected by the owner on a weekly basis to maintain the cub's youthfulness.

Marketing Studies show that Americans will "...eat this idea up…" "It's better than a Furby! My kids just love the YPL's Perpetually Young Lion Cubs. We already have 2 and we're on the waiting list for a 3rd.", said a valued patron. Research by YPL political analysts alerted us to potential problems with Animal Rights Groups, but after we told them that our solution makes the lion cubs as smart as parrots, they changed their minds. "At first I was outraged that anyone would inject an unknown and unapproved chemical into the neck of a little baby lion cub, but then YPL showed me the process first hand. It's really not that bad, and afterward... my god! It was sooo smart!" said one animal activist.
