... And brother he wasn't wrong. These apes are the most amazing of creatures in many respects, but their apparent lack of verbosity has led them to be misunderstood by their Human brethren. Remember folks, Humans are Great Apes too... Just because we are a little different doesn't mean we don't all face some of the same challenges of life and love as these apes. It's most aptly shown in the growing works of the Orangutan Baltar. Perhaps the most reflective of all Great Apes, aside from arguably a handful of Humans, Baltar is the poet of our generation. One need just peruse one of the passages of his poetry and understanding is blessed upon the reader as if from the light of a poet god himself. Here is a passage.

Janet give apple Baltar, indeed. What is amazing is that this is but one of thousands of poems the Great Ape Master has written in such a short lifespan.

"Prolific doesn't quite cover Baltar," says Janet Kurion, Baltar's trainer. "Baltar learned sign language so quickly. It's as if that poet spirit inside him just couldn't wait to sing."
